SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Responsibilities:
- Prepare general ledger entries and assist with month-end close process
- Resolve account discrepancies by reviewing GL transactions and making necessary adjustments.
- Reconcile transactions and accounts including the bank and intercompany.
- Review preparation of journal entries for month end close and reclassing entries.
- Review preparation and maintenance of prepaids, accruals and other balance sheet schedules
- Assist with annual audit requests
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- CPA and Public accounting experience highly preferred (Straight public is OK)
- Must be task-oriented and able to follow standardized work instructions
- Problem solving skills and high attention to detail
- Experience with multi-company organization a plus
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and effective time management skills
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Proven experience in a high-volume environment required
- Good understanding of the common fiscal procedures
- Experience with acquisitions and purchase accounting preferred
