SENIOR FINANCE MANAGER

Duties:

  • Leads the compilation and delivery of accurate and timely monthly management reporting including monthly financials, revenue reporting and functional expense reporting.
  • Delivers advanced analytical support to middle and upper management either through subordinate financial analysts or individual efforts.
  • Oversees or conducts comprehensive financial analysis and uses results to provide strategic input to upper management.
  • Responsible for the development and management of annual planning calendar involving in-depth coordination of all reviews.
  • Proactively manages the planning process for l including revenue projections, capital planning, departmental operating costs, overhead allocations and implementing appropriate review processes.
  • Collaborates with team in the development, review and approval of annual material, labor and overhead standards.
  • Consults with business partners to evaluate the costs and benefits associated with various financial decisions.
  • Assesses and may approve spending requests outside of forecast, new cost center proposals or reporting adjustments.
  • Continually focuses on improvements to planning processes and systems and works closely with Finance Senior Management to develop a streamlined and more integrated approach.
  • Develops, maintains and assesses internal controls including but not limited to the documentation of all major FP&A processes and procedures with SOPs.
  • Ensures FP&A team has desktop procedures for day-to-day activities, transactions and reporting.
  • Provides advice, education and training to business partners and team members on the finance function, including but not limited to the budget and forecasting process, improvements to budget management, key levers regarding performance, etc.
  • Provides valued input on decisions regarding reporting changes, entries, adjustments, pricing strategy and/or forecasts.
  • Manages and develops a professional staff of financial analysts.
  • Understands how FP&A operations impact overall goals.
  • Demonstrates strong management skills, including how to delegate correctly while retaining correct accountability.
  • Leads the Gross Revenue projections for the month, quarter and year with routine updates and provides related Reporting to management in a timely manner.
  • Manages the Inventory, Cycle Count and E&O processes, continuously driving the business to improve accuracy and minimize financial exposure.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP), policies and procedures is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Manufacturing Finance (Standard Cost, Inventory, COGS, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Power BI report writing capabilities is required.
  • Proficient in complex Excel spreadsheet and database structures required.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills are a must.
  • 7+ years of analysis, finance, or accounting experience.
  • Experience in supplement or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in ability to multitask and prioritize, working in a fast paced and changing environment, meeting deadlines in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Strong ability to apply knowledge to problem solving.
  • Ability to complete and draw conclusions from complex data analysis.
  • Ability to connect with people – requires strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work effectively cross functionally with all levels.
  • Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines.
  • Remain engaged, proactive and positive in tough circumstances, owning assignments and taking full accountability for their success.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability; thrives in a changing/fast paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook), Power BI experience is a plus.
