  • Prepare all monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and book required journal entries
  • Build monthly financial statements for the Retail store, eCommerce website and create fluctuation analysis explaining all significant variances
  • Prepare vendor concession/consignment statements and provide reconciliation to vendors
  • Create all supporting files for Accounts Payable team for weekly payments
  • Provide reconciliation of retail & eCommerce daily sales, cash deposits and credit card reconciliation reporting
  • Work with merchant services to quickly reconcile and resolve credit card charge-backs by partnering with retail team to obtain all necessary documentation within the provided time frames.
  • Coordinate all vendor creation requests for retail; ensuring all documents are properly completed and submitted for authorization.
  • Reconcile inventory movements on a regular basis
  • Provides direct input & support in determining financial goals for store bonus program
  • Create and record gift card accounting accruals and analysis for retail store and ecommerce website
  • Sales tax reporting
  • Support annual corporate audit fieldwork.
  • Manage new vendor setup, payment terms and conditions
  • Assist the operations team, logistics team and 3PL service by accounting for inventory transfers, sales and inventory receipts
  • Work with ecommerce team on sales, marketing and gross margin tracking and reporting
  • Support Retail leadership team with commercial procurement needs by developing and conducting RFP’s when necessary while tracking monthly expenses and identifies opportunities for savings

Financial Planning and Reporting

  • Build 3-Year Plans, Annual Budgets and Mid-Year Forecasts for retail store and ecommerce business
  • Develop balance sheet, capital expenditure and cash flow forecasting models
  • Daily sales and KPI reporting
  • Prepare weekly cash flow projections
  • Maintain OPEX budget which supports accurate collection of spend
  • Provides direct input & support in determining financial goals for store bonus program
  • Sales reporting to Landlord on a monthly basis

Experience & Requirements

  • BS Degree with emphasis in Accounting and/or Finance
  • 5 years of GL accounting (some financial analysis preferred)
  • Background in retail/eCommerce preferred
  • Highly effective communicator
  • Knowledge of NetSuite and retail POS systems (Teamwork Retail preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of the MS Suite with a focus in Excel, including pivot tables, macros & formulas that will enable manipulations of large amounts of data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize workload
  • Strong follow-up skills and ability to work w/ remote supervision
