Salary:  85-105k

Reporting  & Controls: 

  • Complete weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly Sales Reports for distribution to the North American business
  • Ownership of the end-to-end Month-End Close duties:
  • Departmental P&L’s and distribution of Monthly Management Package
  • Maintain Fixed Assets Register
  • Book all Accruals (Payroll, Marketing and other)
  • AR and Inventory Reserves
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Ensuring the timely delivery and accurate reporting
  • Continue to drive improvement, efficiency, accuracy and automation in the region’s monthly, quarterly and annual reporting processes and systems.
  • Provide annual and half year audit support including financial documentation and interaction with external auditors.
  • Monthly commissions calculation
  • Establish cross-functional relationships to promote best practices and process adherence, foster collaboration and teamwork.
  • Work with the VP Finance to ensure the financial governance and control framework are in place and adhered to across the region.
  • Other ad hoc tasks as required
  • In conjunction with Assistant Accountant, manage bank reconciliations and cashflow reporting for the North American region;
  • Ensure all bank accounts are reconciled weekly, including daily for retail;
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in processes in relation to cash management.

Business Partnering:

  • Work with business leaders to understand finer details of the monthly P&L results.
  • Analysis of spend in accordance with Budget/Forecast.
  • Work with business leaders to develop the annual budget and forecasts based on company-wide targets, needs of the business, and understanding of current spending trends.
  • Providing insightful analysis as required of revenue and expenses to facilitate decision making that will allow the company to stay within budget/forecast.
  • Partner with product department leaders to support margin dilution mitigation efforts.
  • Build a strong relationship with the Finance team to assist with timely and useful forecasts and budgets.
