SENIOR PAYROLL MANAGER

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and develop a staff of 5+ payroll processors
  • Oversee payroll processing for 5,000+ employees throughout the US and Canada
  • Update and document new procedures as needed
  • Support the semi-monthly, biweekly and weekly US and Canada payroll processes with UltiPro, posting payroll Journal Entries.
  • Ensure proper internal controls are in place and identify inefficiencies
  • Participate in system upgrades/conversions
  • Lead the integration of payroll systems from newly acquired companies
  • Year-end audit preparation
  • Coordinate and oversee quarterly and year-end process including preparation and issuance of W-2s, tax filings, and reconciliations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • 3+ years of payroll management experience (3+ staff)
  • 3+ years of multi-state payroll experience in a large company (3,000+ employees)
  • Exposure to a large payroll system preferred (ADP, Ceridian, etc)
  • System conversion experience preferred
  • Canadian payroll experience preferred
