SENIOR PAYROLL MANAGER
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and develop a staff of 5+ payroll processors
- Oversee payroll processing for 5,000+ employees throughout the US and Canada
- Update and document new procedures as needed
- Support the semi-monthly, biweekly and weekly US and Canada payroll processes with UltiPro, posting payroll Journal Entries.
- Ensure proper internal controls are in place and identify inefficiencies
- Participate in system upgrades/conversions
- Lead the integration of payroll systems from newly acquired companies
- Year-end audit preparation
- Coordinate and oversee quarterly and year-end process including preparation and issuance of W-2s, tax filings, and reconciliations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 3+ years of payroll management experience (3+ staff)
- 3+ years of multi-state payroll experience in a large company (3,000+ employees)
- Exposure to a large payroll system preferred (ADP, Ceridian, etc)
- System conversion experience preferred
- Canadian payroll experience preferred
