SENIOR FIXED ASSETS ACCOUNTANT
Duties:
- Maintaining the Asset Management module by setting up new stores, remodels and facilities projects in the system as well as removing fixed asset disposals.
- Tracking the compilation of project costs into fixed asset general ledge accounts and track status of capital projects, both restaurant and corporate projects
- Performing periodic reconciliations of fixed asset accounts.
- Processes Fixed Asset journal entries and recurring journals.
- Review all capital costs for expense and repair and maintenance accounts for capital.
- Prepare schedules for audits and reviews including but not limited to the fixed asset roll-forward.
- Assist with filing property taxes for multiple counties and states.
- Maintain relationships with New Construction, IT, and Maintenance teams to stay on top of openings and the status of capital project owners.
- Assist with special projects including testing system enhancements, report development and establishing new account reconciliations.
Requirements:
- Accounting degree and minimum 3 years fixed asset accounting
- Public accounting experience a plus
- CPA license a plus
- Extremely detail oriented
- Strong accounting and analytical skills
- Experience using fixed asset software, FAS experience preferred
- Understand flow of fixed asset transactions from source to General Ledger, and impact to balance sheet and income statement.
- Exceptional collaborative and teamwork skills
- Thorough understanding of US GAAP, specifically in the areas of Fixed Assets.
- Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines
- Highly self-motivated, independent and proactive worker who is eager to learn
- Advanced Excel skills
- Some travel is required
