SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST – REAL ESTATE
Responsibilities:
- Assist in building and maintaining dividend models to track key operating performance metrics and project future performance and returns.
- Assist in modeling cash projections and analyzing future liquidity needs and availability for the REITs and Funds
- Assist in the preparation of ad-hoc financial modeling, analysis, and projections.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly real estate impairment analyses
- Assist in the completion of quarterly fair value analyses for notes receivable and notes payable
- Assist in coordination of the annual appraisal process for the REIT properties and completion of the annual NAV process
- Assist in providing detailed leasing activity file, quarterly results roll up and projections for public reporting international REIT
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly board reports
- Provide support at various times to Financial Reporting Manager with regards to drafting 10-Q and 10-K footnote disclosures, as well as tie outs of various public reporting documents
- Support SEC reporting team and other staff regarding questions and issues related to monthly managerial and quarterly BOD Reports (which include debt covenant calculations and other REIT compliance tests)
- Provide information to senior executives critical to the execution of the REITs near and long-term business plans
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in public accounting (Big 4 or National firm)
- Prefer experience working with financial models
- Prefer strong budgeting, forecasting and analytical skills
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with pivot tables, multiple “if” statements, lookups, and other various excel functions
- Good organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy
- Technical knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting,
- Detail oriented with ability to multi-task
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Knowledge of MRI Accounting software
- Commercial Real Estate background
- Experience with Real Estate Investment Trusts (“REITs”)
