MANUFACTURING FINANCIAL ANALYST/ACCOUNTANT

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safeguarding of Company assets by adhering to standard and customary policies and procedures that provide reasonable assurance regarding prevention or timely detection of unauthorized acquisition, use or disposition of the company’s assets that could have a material effect on the financial statement.
  • Ensure any required contributions to Company reporting schedules are timely and the information is fairly and accurately stated
  • Provide support and backup for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable as needed
  • Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, review inventory and analyze cost of sales variances
  • Prepare and distribute a monthly reporting package summarizing the performance of the divisions including both financial and operational metrics
  • Partner with Operations/Materials to ensure inventory controls and policies are met
  • Review and clear messages daily from ERP exception report
  • Engage with teams to identify and implement improvement of current processes
  • Support Team Managers in the annual budgeting processes
  • Assist in the annual updating of all material costs
  • Provide ad-hoc support to business partners (trends, project returns, justifications)
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction

Requirements:

  • The desired minimum educational requirement to successfully perform this position is a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a business-related area of study
  • At least 2 – 3 years of experience in a manufacturing related industry
  • Prior experience working with ERP system and other software applications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and key Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
  • Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills
  • Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting preferred
