CONTROLLER

Responsibilities:

  • Areas of oversight:
    1. CASH MANAGEMENT
    2. ASSET & LEASE MANAGEMENT
    3. ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
    4. ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE
    5. FINANCIAL ANALYSIS/CONSOLIDATIONS
    6. TAXES & AUDIT PREP
    7. ACCOUNTING/FINANCIAL REPORTING/JOB COST ACCOUNTING
    8. COMPLIANCE, ETC.
    9. PREQUALIFICATIONS
    10. TEAM/STAFF MANAGEMENT

    Duties will include:

    • Oversight of Accounting functions including (GL, AP, AR, Cash Management, and Job Cost)
    • Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions within multiple companies
    • Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
    • Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements, including annual audit activities with external auditors / CPA’s
    • Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
    • Managing the annual budgeting process
    • Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes
    • Evaluating accounting and internal control systems
    • Developing and monitoring business performance metrics/forecasting
    • Overseeing regulatory reporting, including support for tax compliance
    • Hiring, training, managing performance, and retaining skilled accounting staff
    • Liaison to financial, regulatory and investment/benefit firms

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Accounting/Finance
  • CPA and Public Accounting experience a plus
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience (at least 2 staff)
  • Accounting experience in a multi-entity environment (3+ companies preferred)
  • Strong experience with Job Cost Accounting (WIP)
  • Highly organized multitasker who works well in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of products and presentation to owners
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Prefer experience in Vista by Viewpoint software (or similar software such as Sage 300)
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Heavy Equipment knowledge would be a plus
