ACCOUNTING MANAGER (LEASES & FIXED ASSETS)

Responsibilities:

  • Direct the accounting function’s daily activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, and monthly and annual close procedures.
  • Supervise and develop the accounting team by supporting recruitment, onboarding, training, performance reviews, and ongoing career growth. Foster a motivated, collaborative team environment focused on mentorship and continuous process improvement.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and statements of cash flows. Conduct consolidated financial variance analyses across periods and years, partnering with other departments to validate the accuracy of reported results.
  • Examine month- and period-end account reconciliations and reporting packages, helping business partners interpret and understand financial performance.
  • Lead the annual audit process, including the preparation of supporting schedules, documentation, and required disclosures.
  • Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures that support GAAP compliance, regulatory requirements, and effective internal controls.
  • Investigate accounting and compliance matters, documenting conclusions with reference to applicable GAAP guidance and internal policies.
  • Manage and contribute to special initiatives, such as lease and fixed-asset accounting projects, Oracle Projects improvements, report development, and the creation of new reconciliation processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline is required.
  • Must have at least seven years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including a minimum of two years in public accounting, as well as two to five years of experience supervising accounting personnel.
  • Active CPA license is required.
  • Strong experience in ASC 842 required
  • Experience in a multi-location/multi-unit business environment highly preferred
  • Must also be comfortable communicating and working directly with external auditors.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills are essential, along with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Candidates should be able to manage priorities and consistently meet established schedules and deadlines.
  • The role requires a highly self-directed, proactive, and motivated professional who is willing to learn and take ownership.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Willingness to travel occasionally are also required.
