ACCOUNTING MANAGER
Duties:
- Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial analysis and support business decisions.
- Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with GAAP.
- Manage and optimize the use of Microsoft BC accounting software.
- Travel to Northern California once a quarter.
Requirements:
- Accounting degree
- Experience in public accounting (preferred).
- Proficient in GAAP accounting, able to identify, research, and adopt non-complex accounting standards.
- 1-2 years accounting manager experience, with subordinates.
- Proficient with GL, journal entries, account reconciliations, and closing books.
- Experience working with operations.
- Experience with internal reporting and finance support to operations.
- Experience mix with large and mid-sized companies to understand best practices.
- Ability to identify, assess, and resolve (or at minimum suggest a resolution) to problems.
- Experience with real ERPs (not Quickbooks).
- Proficient with Excel (intermediate).
