ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Duties:

  • Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial analysis and support business decisions.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with GAAP.
  • Manage and optimize the use of Microsoft BC accounting software.
  • Travel to Northern California once a quarter.

Requirements:

  • Accounting degree
  • Experience in public accounting (preferred).
  • Proficient in GAAP accounting, able to identify, research, and adopt non-complex accounting standards.
  • 1-2 years accounting manager experience, with subordinates.
  • Proficient with GL, journal entries, account reconciliations, and closing books.
  • Experience working with operations.
  • Experience with internal reporting and finance support to operations.
  • Experience mix with large and mid-sized companies to understand best practices.
  • Ability to identify, assess, and resolve (or at minimum suggest a resolution) to problems.
  • Experience with real ERPs (not Quickbooks).
  • Proficient with Excel (intermediate).
