SENIOR MANAGER OF FINANCIAL REPORTING
Duties:
- Maintains integrity of accounting information and reporting in accordance with standards and rules under GAAP and other regulatory bodies. Primary role includes management of the following:
– Preparation of stand-alone GAAP financial statements with footnotes
– Review of technical accounting guidance and creates policies
– Guidance on regulatory filings (i.e. FRB, DOI)
– The external Stand-alone Financial Statement audits and regulatory exams - Performs and/or reviews complex accounting research and analysis.
- Drafts or reviews the quarterly stand-alone financial statements, including any new disclosures.
- Drafts or reviews annual financial statements and related notes for stand-alone subsidiaries.
- Prepares or manages quarterly regulatory filings including use of the in-house reporting tool.
- Manages the accounting and reporting for Federal Reserve Board filings.
- Assists in developing department goals, objectives and processes.
- Communicate with multiple levels in the organization and escalate issues to appropriate management.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated competency in executing strategic plans.
- Ability to communicate the department’s vision and direction and set aligned goals.
- Possesses problem-solving, collaboration, critical thinking and team building skills.
- Superior knowledge in the interpretation and application of accounting principles and practices under US GAAP and other regulatory governing bodies.
- Displays leadership skills, leading by example, driving employee commitment through actions, and empowering employees to reach their full potential.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years of progressive management experience, including GAAP reporting experience.
- 2+ years of public accounting experience required; Big 4 experience preferred.
- CPA required
