SENIOR MANAGER OF TECHNICAL ACCOUNTING
Responsibilities:
- This person will work on SEC Reporting, Technical Accounting and will own all Equity and Stock Compensation Accounting (ASC718)
- Lead efforts using strong SEC and U.S. GAAP technical background to interpret complex accounting and disclosure requirements. Includes solving, documenting, and appropriately communicating complex technical accounting issues
- Lead coordination of third-party valuations associated with business combinations and acts as a liaison between external valuation experts and the external audit team
- Analyze financial results and ensure compliance with consolidations requirements
- Support ongoing system improvements
- Preparation of Disclosure Committee and Audit Committee materials and monitor progress against reporting cycle deadlines
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and develop/refine GL accounting processes and procedures with a focus on continuous improvements. Document and assist in the annual review of company accounting policies, including development and documentation of updates and new accounting policies as required
- Participate in other accounting and finance special projects, as needed
- Work directly with external auditors and take responsibility for relevant audit requests
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with ASC718 including Stock compensation plans, RSU, PSU, and Options (valuations), equity activities, APIC (additional paid-in capital), AOIC, etc… Strong background in Technical accounting & reporting, technical research(doing the research and finding answers), ASC606, footnotes, memos. Experience with XBRL, EPS calculation, acquisitions, divestitures, complex intercompany transactions (overseas subsidiaries). Excellent knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS a huge plus
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (required)
- CPA or MBA with emphasis in Finance or Analytics preferred
- Field of Study/Area of Experience: Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of experience in public accounting and/or equivalent experience in a large public company
- 5+ years of experience in reporting and data analysis
- Advanced Excel skills and data analysis skills
- Experience with equity valuations
- Experience with M&A activities
- Financial analysis, key performance metrics, budgeting, planning, performance improvement initiatives, new business pro-forma modeling
- Advanced experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, financial modeling, trend analysis, and ad hoc financial analysis.
- Hands-on, strong grasp of corporate or business unit financial concepts and tools, inclusive of financial ratios and key metrics
- Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to complete multiple duties with accuracy shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadlines
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook
- Experience using computerized information systems used in financial and/or accounting applications
